Reason No 1

“He who walks with wolves learns how to howl.”

Inspired by Mowgli: Legend of the jungle. The Jungle Book is the story of Mowgli, a boy who has been raised by wolves and lives in the jungle with his fairly awesome animal friends. A story by Rudyard Kipling written and published in 1893. It’s all about

LOVE, LOYALTY & FAMILY

As an ode to this story, and intrigued by unity, love and care of the wolf pack, in early 2000s, Sandy had concocted a shot called “Howling Wolf” which was very popular in every bar gathering due to a ritual which followed after drinking the shooter.

Now in 2023, Sandy had concocted yet another shot called “Howling Wolves” which has a ritual pre and post to the way you drink it. You need to have it with your pack. You can’t have it alone – however hard you try it. 

We are like Seeonee Wolf Pack.

“Throw me to the wolves and I will return leading the pack.”

Reason No 2

Feed the Good Wolf

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:

“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil–he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Reason No 3

The Original Wolf

Chester Arthur Burnett, known as Howlin’ Wolf, was one of the most influential American blues singer and musicians of all time. His electric blues guitar, backing his powerful, howling voice, helped shape rock and roll. Over four-decade career, he recorded in genres like blues, R&B, rock n roll and psychedelic rock. With a booming voice and imposing physical presence, he is one of the best-known Chicago blues artists. He was famous as “a primal, ferocious blues belter with a roster of classics and a sandpaper growl of a voice. Though Burnett was skilled on harmonica and guitar, his main instrument was his voice, one of the most distinctive in all of blues.

Burnett got the nickname “Wolf” because his grandfather would scare the youngster by telling him that the wolf in the woods would get him if he misbehaved. The rest of the family would then call him “Wolf” and howl at him. 

As a mark of respect to Chester and all the great artists of that era and later, be it BB King, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Jim Reeves, Elvis Presley, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, JJ Kale, Don Williams, Eagles, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and the  list is endless, we named our place House of Wolves

Howling Wolves plays different genre of music 7 nights of the week. Twice a week – Fridays & Saturdays, we show-case live solo acts to full electrified bands in the evening. Catch our open stage live karaoke jam or open mike every Thursday for your chance to sing along our Karaoke Jockey. Our DJ is always on a high. You can literally see his horns growing at Sundowner. Prefers to jam with a percussionist or a saxophonist. Its chic, its high energy and yet its lazy.

THE MUSIC

A beautiful music is an expression of an emotion. It is beyond the barriers of language, land and genre. We at Howling Wolves love all kind of music like Rhythm, Soul, Retro, Jazz but more of Blues in particular. We love Funk Blues music more because we feel it’s a genre that is the root of everything great that came after and we are dedicated to showing that to the world.

Howling Wolves believe in showcasing the best of local talent as well as hosting multiple local and international artists and acts. We’ve have become the top music destination not only for locals in the city, but for music lovers from all over the world.  They not only come to see our incredible acts and sample our unique customer experience
